These mugs are thrown on the wheel and then the checker pattern is stamped in. Glazed a glossy pink all over except the recessed areas of the checker pattern show off the natural look of the clay. The pink can vary from very deep pink to a softer lighter pink, and usually is lighter on the interior than the exterior.
